UK Short-Let Regulatory Changes: A Property Networking Roundtable

KPM Short Stay Management

UK short-let registration, planning, licensing, tax and compliance. Free property networking roundtable for landlords and Airbnb hosts.

* COMPLETELY FREE TO ATTEND* LIVE INTERPRETING AVAILABLE TO ENABLE YOU TO NETWORK WITH YOUR ITALIAN COUNTER PART* The UK short let market is becoming more formalised and we aren't scared, we are ready. The special Furnished Holiday Lettings tax regime has ended across the UK. In England, a national registration scheme is expected but is not yet in force, while London’s existing 90-night planning limit continues to shape how some properties can operate. Some of this felt familiar to us.At KPM Short Stay Management, we have experience across both the UK and Italy. Italy is further along it's own regulatory journey, developed through national, regional and municipal measures rather than one single reform. We have seen first-hand how requirements such as the CIN identification code, guest reporting through Alloggiati Web and differing local restrictions can affect much more than compliance. They influence operating costs, record-keeping, property strategy, guest management, profitability and the responsibilities of those managing a property. That does not mean England will copy Italy. This event is not a prediction, and we will not present Italy as a model that can simply be applied to the UK. Instead, we will use the Italian experience as a comparison lens, identify where genuine parallels exist and discuss what property owners should be preparing for now.WHAT WE WILL COVERWe will begin with a focused presentation examining:• How Italy’s short let market has changed since 2017• The practical and financial impact on landlords and operators• What is already changing in the UK and England• Which proposals are still developing• Where the similarities between the two markets appear meaningful, and where they endWe will then open the conversation to attendees through a moderated roundtable and audience Q&A.The central idea behind the session is simple: knowledge is power. And we are taking networking to a whole new level enabling you to soeak with professionals and hosts from the other country.

WHO IS THIS FOR?This event is designed for UK and Italian landlords, property investors, short let operators and property managers involved in, or considering, short-term accommodation. You do not need any previous knowledge of the Italian market. We will explain the relevant context before opening the discussion. The event is free and online. Places are limited so that attendees have time to contribute and ask questions.Supporting material from the session will be sent to attendees afterwards.
