ALM Service of Authorisation and Re-Authorisation 2026
A Special Service to celebrate and give thanks to God for our new Authorised Lay Ministers and for those renewing their Authorisation.
This service will be led by The Right Revd Dr Matthew Porter, the bishop of Bolton and will mark the authorisation and commissioning of our new Authorised Lay Ministers (ALMs) and the reauthorisation and commissioning of our current ALMs. We will also be commissioning our ALM Chaplains. Our preacher will be the Revd Canon Simon Cook, Archdeacon of Salford & Bolton.
The service will start promptly at 2.30pm, so please arrive in plenty of time to get seated. If you or any of your guests have mobility issues or require specialist seating arrangements, then please make this clear on your ticket registration.
