Small Steps, Better Health: Women's Health & Cervical Screening

Small Steps, Better Health: Women's Health & Cervical Screening

Overview

A FREE community event with creative activities, refreshments and information about women's health and cervical screening.

Join us at Leeds Black Elders Association for another of our Small Steps, Better Health community events.

This is a FREE, friendly and informal event where you can learn more about looking after your health while enjoying creative activities, workshops and refreshments.

The event will have a particular focus on women's health and cervical screening, including why screening is important, what to expect and some of the worries or misconceptions that can put people off attending.

Cervical screening won't be the only focus though. There will also be information and support around wider cancer awareness, screening and early diagnosis.

There'll be plenty to see and do, including:

  • Free creative activities and workshops
  • Women's health and wellbeing information
  • Stalls from local organisations
  • Cancer awareness and screening information
  • Free refreshments
  • Opportunities to chat, ask questions and find out about local support

You don't need any previous knowledge and there's no pressure to take part in everything. You're welcome to come along, have a look around and get involved in whatever interests you.

Everyone is welcome and the event is completely FREE to attend.

Come along, get involved and take a small step towards better health.
