The Sound That Did Not Exist This Morning

On Saturday 26 September, the Museum of Synthesisers presents the Arturia World Tour at Standalone Gallery in Dalston, in collaboration with Arturia and Source Distribution.

Drop in anytime between 11am and 7pm and explore the programme at your own pace.

Visitors can play and explore Arturia synthesisers throughout the gallery. The hands-on exhibition will also feature the 1010 Blackbox 2, ASM Leviasynth, Expressive-E Osmose CE and Buchla Ziggy, presented by Source Distribution.

Workshops on synthesiser history and sound design run through the day. Jam tables give visitors space to experiment with the instruments and play together. The programme closes with a live performance.

Arturia Ambassador

Philippe Brodu has dedicated his professional career to his passion: synthesisers and electronic equipment.
After playing for seven years in a pop/rock band that charted in France, and composing numerous pieces of music for adverts and documentaries, Philippe became the French director of Emagic for Logic Audio software and worked for several years with Apple following their acquisition of Logic Audio.

It was during these years, demonstrating and training the industry’s leading figures on Logic Audio, that Philippe realised just how important education is, and he
made it his priority, regardless of the brand he was working for. Thus, throughout his career, Philippe has worked for Shure, AVID and M-Audio, before taking the helm at KORG and ARP, and subsequently seizing the opportunity to lead ARTURIA, a brand for which Philippe has harboured a genuine passion since its creation in 1999. Today, Philippe is an ARTURIA ambassador and also a sound designer. Alongside this, Philippe is a musician and works with, amongst others, the renowned thereminist Charlotte Dubois.
Philippe is also passionate about immersion, whether auditory or visual. He is therefore a fountain of knowledge when it comes to Dolby Atmos and VR headsets.
