Kintsugi Clay Workshop *For midwives & maternity healthcare providers only

Join us for a gentle, creative Kintsugi-inspired workshop designed especially for midwives and maternity healthcare providers. Led through a reflective making process, you will learn how to create a simple pinch pot from clay, deliberately mark or “scar” its surface, and decorate these lines with gold leaf. Inspired by the ancient Japanese practice of mending broken pottery with gold, this workshop offers space to think about care, repair, loss, hope and healing. The golden scars within each pot can become a quiet symbol of the stories we carry, and of the possibility of beauty, strength and new beginnings emerging even through pain.

Free tea, coffee and light refreshments will be available throughout. Please email lucy.turner@manchester.ac.uk in advance of the workshop with any dietary requirements.
