هێرشەکانی تورکیا و ئێران و ئاشتیی نێوان تورکیا - پەکەکە: کاریگەرییەکانی لەسەر باشوور و ڕۆژئاوای کوردستان

ڕێکخراوی تواناسازی کوردستان (KEA) بە مەبەستی تاوتوێکردنی دوایین پێشهاتە سیاسی و سەربازییەکانی ناوچەکە، سیمینارێکی کراوە بۆ ڕای گشتی و ڕەوەندی کوردی لە شاری لەندەن ڕێکدەخات.

سیمینارەکە لەژێر ناونیشانی "هێرشەکانی تورکیا و ئێران و ئاشتیی نێوان تورکیا - پەکەکە: کاریگەرییەکانی لەسەر باشوور و ڕۆژئاوای کوردستان” بەڕێوەدەچێت و تێیدا تیشک دەخرێتە سەر ئایندەی سەقامگیری لە ناوچەکە و دەرئەنجامی ئۆپەراسیۆنە سەربازییەکان.

لە سیمینارەکەدا کامەران عوسمان، بەرپرسی بەشی مافی مرۆڤ لە ڕێکخراوی CPTی ئەمریکی (تیمی هەرێمی کوردستان) و چالاکوانی مافی مرۆڤ کە خاوەنی ١٠ ساڵ ئەزموونە لە بەڵگەدارکردنی پێشێلکارییەکان، وەک پێشکەشکاری سەرەکی بەشدار دەبێت.

Turkey and Iran’s Ongoing Attacks and the Turkey–PKK Peace Process: Implications for Southern and Western Kurdistan

The Kurdistan Empowerment Association (KEA) is organising an open seminar in London for the public and the Kurdish community to discuss the latest political and military developments in the region.

The seminar, entitled “Turkey and Iran’s Attacks and the Turkey–PKK Peace Process: Implications for Southern and Western Kurdistan”, will examine the future of stability in the region and the consequences of ongoing military operations.

Kamaran Osman, Head of the Human Rights Department at the US-based CPT (Kurdistan Region Team) and a human rights activist with 10 years’ experience documenting human rights violations, will be the main speaker.

Main topics of the seminar:

The risks posed by the military activities of the Turkish and Iranian armed forces to the environment, livelihoods and culture of villagers in the Kurdistan Region.

The prospects for the success of the peace process and its direct implications for the region.

The consequences and risks of the collapse of the ceasefire for the Kurdistan Region and Western Kurdistan (Rojava).

Kamaran Osman, Head of the Human Rights Department at the US-based organisation CPT. He has 10 years’ experience in documenting and recording human rights violations in the Kurdistan Region. In 2024, he received the Tulip Human Rights Award from the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs, recognising him as the most active human rights defender of the year.

He has overseen the collection and documentation of data relating to violations and crimes, including reporting violations committed by Turkey and Iran and bringing these violations to the attention of the international community. He has six years’ experience monitoring prison conditions and overseeing the legal proceedings of activists and journalists in the Kurdistan Region. He also represented CPT in Western Kurdistan (Rojava) during the attacks by Syria’s new government on Western Kurdistan.

About CPT
CPT is an international organisation headquartered in the United States, with teams operating in Colombia, Palestine, Greece, Canada, along the US–Mexico border, and in the Kurdistan Region.

The CPT team in the Kurdistan Region has been operating there since 2005. Its primary work involves collecting data, documenting cross-border violations, and advocating for farmers and villagers who are victims of attacks along the borders of the Kurdistan Region by the governments of Turkey and Iran.

The team supports activists and journalists when they face threats, harassment and arrest. By participating in the legal proceedings of journalists and activists and coordinating with consulates and diplomatic missions, CPT works to protect freedom of expression in Kurdistan.

At present, the CPT team in the Kurdistan Region is the only organisation collecting data on Turkish and Iranian attacks and bombardments against the Kurdistan Region. It serves as a key source of information on these attacks for media organisations, the Kurdistan Regional Government, the Government of Iraq, the general public and diplomatic missions.
