South Coast Marine Recovery Project interactive talk

The South Coast Marine Recovery Project Wildlife Trust is an ambitious new community-led project connecting marine recovery efforts across our south coast Wildlife Trusts: Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Hampshire and Isle of Wight, and Sussex. While each Wildlife Trust, alongside other organisations, already deliver brilliant marine recovery efforts, every county faces common pressures such as water pollution and unsustainable fishing practices that impact our seas. By working together, we have a better chance of tackling these challenges at scale and giving marine life the space it needs to thrive across our whole southern coastline.

The project is currently in its development phase until March 2027, which means we are now shaping how it will be delivered. We cannot do this alone. We need your local knowledge, views and ideas to help form the project and make sure it is both effective and achievable. This webinar is an opportunity to learn about why we are doing this project and why the south coast is so special, however it will also be an opportunity to feed into the project by giving us your opinions and asking us questions. The data we collect from you will then be used alongside other engagement methods to shape our project plan.

You do not have to be a professional to attend and input, we need the expertise you bring from being someone who lives, works or has a connection to the south coast. The questions that will be asked during the talk will be emailed in advance to give you time to prepare if you wish. Then you can input by either talking or using the chat. If you do not wish to interact, that is no worries at all you can still attend the talk just to listen.
