WONDERIN' Y: HOW SLADE'S DRUMMER SURVIVED

WONDERIN' Y: HOW SLADE'S DRUMMER SURVIVED

Overview

Ian Pearce’s extraordinary one-man show about Slade Drummer Don Powell. With an in conversation with Don.

In the summer of 1973 at the height of his fame, Slade’s drummer Don Powell was involved in a devastating car accident, leaving him with brain injury that resulted in severe and lasting memory loss.

Award winning writer and performer Ian Pearce collaborated with Don to recreate the emotional journey to recovery in this gripping and emotional one man show. Imagine being on stage in front of thousands of people in the US and you can't remember your number one hit Cum On Feel the Noize !

Don Powell will appear in person at Trades Hall, with Ian to discuss the events and to take questions from the audience. This is a unique opportunity for all classic rock fans to experience a truthful performance and join in the conversation with the legendary drummer himself.

Ian Pearce has achieved a remarkable success. This could so easily be a tragic show, but instead, we experience hope, determination and, ultimately loud, ferocious and beating revival.
