Before You Crash: Map Neurodivergent Burnout and Rebuild Capacity

Before You Crash: Map Neurodivergent Burnout and Rebuild Capacity

Online event
Overview

Recognise patterns of neurodivergent burnout, reflect on your capacity and explore practical ways to reduce pressure.

Burnout can be easy to miss when someone still looks as though they are coping. For neurodivergent adults, sustained masking, sensory load, executive demand and environments that do not fit can gradually push demand beyond capacity.

Join Nat Hawley, MSc, founder of Divergent Thinking, for a practical, evidence-informed session. You will learn how to notice overload earlier, identify what is draining capacity and choose realistic next steps. No formal diagnosis or prior knowledge is needed.

Part of Divergent Thinking’s weekly community webinar series: practical, neuro-inclusive learning for real life and work.

What you’ll learn

  • Recognise cognitive, emotional, sensory, physical and behavioural warning signs
  • Use a simple demand–capacity map to understand what is tipping the balance
  • Reduce demand through boundaries, simplification, adjustments and renegotiation
  • Choose recovery approaches that work with neurodivergent needs
  • Create a realistic next-step plan without “new me” pressure

  • People who are diagnosed, self-identified or exploring neurodivergence
  • Anyone supporting neurodivergent adults at work, at home or in the community
