ADHD Medication and the Brain: Evidence, Effects and Informed Choices
Interactive webinar for neurodivergent professionals and allies: ADHD Medication and the Brain: Evidence, Effects and Informed Choices.
Medication conversations are often reduced to strong opinions or oversimplified brain stories. This session creates space for evidence, uncertainty and informed choice.
This live, interactive webinar is for neurodivergent professionals and anyone who wants a deeper, more useful understanding of neuroinclusion. Divergent Thinking combines accessible explanations of relevant research with neurodivergent lived experience and practical workplace insight. We separate established evidence from assumptions, avoid one-size-fits-all claims and keep the focus on dignity, choice and what helps in real life.
Expect anonymous polls, short games, realistic scenarios and optional reflection activities. You can contribute by voice, chat or polls, or simply listen. There is no cold-calling and cameras are optional. You will leave with a more balanced understanding of the evidence and better questions for informed healthcare conversations. Whether you come for self-understanding, better professional practice or both, the emphasis is on translating insight into respectful action—not fixing people, rewarding conformity or claiming that one strategy works for everyone.
WHAT YOU’LL EXPLORE
• How commonly used ADHD medicines affect relevant brain and body systems
• What research suggests about benefits, side effects and variability
• Why dose, context, co-occurring needs and monitoring matter
• How to prepare informed questions for an appropriately qualified clinician

HOW THE SESSION WORKS
