Overview
For newly elected Churchwardens in the Diocese of Manchester, or experienced Churchwardens who would like a refresher course.
This event is designed for newly elected Churchwardens across the Diocese of Manchester, as well as more experienced Churchwardens who would welcome a refresher on key aspects of the role.
The session will cover:
- Working effectively with your clergy
- The role of Churchwardens during an interregnum
- Working with your PCC and sidespeople within a Mission Community
- Faculties and permissions
- Safeguarding responsibilities
- Church buildings, fabric and maintenance
Light refreshments will be available on arrival from 9.30am, with the training commencing promptly at 10.00am.
The training will take place in the new ground-floor conference room at St John’s House.
