Winter Solstice Singing Party

Singing Party is everything you ever wanted for your Sunday.

Playful, engaging and riotously fun, whether you consider yourself a 'singer' or not. Your voice belongs in the room with us.

Two facilitators, one guest song leader, a 4-piece live band, and 100 of us, partying together, having the most fun possible (with clothes on), belting out harmonies to songs we all know and love.

SO, WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS?

We take songs we all know and love, teach some harmonies by ear, and then blast them out together with a live band.

There'll be big singalongs, beautiful harmonies, musical games, movement and plenty of opportunities to improvise and let loose.

No audience, no big performance. Just one hell of a time. Just for us.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Shower singers, karaoke-lovers, karaoke-haters... anyone looking for an easy way to meet people and feel part of something in London. Anyone who wants to experience using their voice for the sheer joy of it.

You don't have to read music, audition, rehearse or perform. You don't even need to have any experience singing. We got you covered ;)

AND

If you are a singing/music veteran we PROMISE you will not be bored. There are plenty of musical treats to get your teeth into, plus chances to let you talents loose over some beautiful harmonies.

WHO IS IT NOT FOR?

People that hate having fun and/or feeling good.

People that kick kittens.

This just ain't your event pal.

Not everything is love and light

IS THE EVENT SPIRITUAL OR WOO?

No.

However it IS basically ecstatic singing.

If you let yourself drop in, you might end up having a profound experience of belonging, love and connection with others.

Some call that spiritual, some call that the power of music to bring people together, others just call it a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

WHO'S RUNNING IT?

Singing Party is hosted by George Montagu (Full Joy) and Alfie Jones (Sanctuary), with a guest song leader and our 4-piece live band.

WHAT TIME/WHERE?

Doors open 2pm Dec 6th at The Bath House, in Hackney Wick, which describes itself as:

'a not-for-profit community space with a cafe, bar, multiple event spaces and studios'.

We describe it as:

'the lovely big room full of speakers we're going to have a party in'.

It's a hipster community hub of sorts, but it's unpretentious and warm, and the cafe is decent if you get snackish during the day! You could even nip next door for an evening sauna after!

WHY SINGING?

'Oh man, I sang "way too much" last night', said nobody ever...
