What is included in my ticket?

Your ticket covers the cost of the guided walk, including a 10% donation to Streatham Common Cooperative, who manage the site.

The walk takes two hours and refreshments will be provided at the end. This will include tea, coffee and biscuits. Vegan options will be provided.

Who is running the event?

The guided fungi walk is run by Em Robinson, who conducts the annual fungi survey of Streatham Common. You can find a link to her socials in the event description.

What if it is raining on the day?

This event will take place come rain or shine! Rain is always a risk whilst doing outdoor activities, but the rain is actually good for fungi. These tickets are non-refundable, and if it is forecast to rain on the day, please dress appropriately.

What kind of fungi will I get to see?

Streatham Common is host to over 100 different types of fungus. What you see is dependent on the date and what the weather has been like the week prior to your visit. If you're lucky, you will get the opportunity to see the critically endangered Wrinkled Peach mushroom!

Where is the meeting point?

We will be meeting outside the Rookery Cafe,  I will send an email closer to the date to remind you. Please ensure you arrive on time, or even better, ten minutes early so that you can find the group.

Can I bring my children?

Children over the age of 13 are welcome to attend with a ticket. This walk is tailored to adults, though no prior experience or knowledge of fungi is necessary to attend.

How accessible is the site?

Due to the nature of the site, this walk is not suitable for wheelchair users. Please be mindful that you will be on your feet for two hours when booking, wear good shoes and be prepared for some mud if it has been raining.

These tickets are non-refundable. If you cannot make it, considering giving them to a friend and spread the fungi joy!
