2-Day Beginners Pattern Cutting Workshop

Your teacher, Manuela, will provide all the equipment you need and adapt the class to your abilities. Manuela is an experienced pattern-cutting teacher at the Fashion Technology Academy in Haringey, which specialises in technical skills training for garment manufacturing, including stitching, production, and pattern-cutting.

What You’ll Learn:

Pattern adaptions

• What is a block, and why is it important?
• Learn to create various skirts in ½ scale, such as a full and wrap skirt.
• How to do various dart manipulations.
• How to properly label and mark individual pattern pieces with symbols and notches.

Please bring to the first session:

• Basic stationery such as a pencil, paper, scissors and rubber
• Tape measure
