BUIRA Film Premiere ‘Thirsty Scholars Writing History’ and Panel discussion

London BUIRA and ProBE are pleased to have this Film Premiere and Panel discussion.

"Thirsty Scholars Writing History" is a 52-minute documentary in which British Universities Industrial Relations Association (BUIRA) members provide a collective account of the association’s development and reflect on its purpose and connections within and beyond Industrial Relations scholarship. The film, co-researched and co-directed by Dr. Blandine Emilien (University of Bristol) and Catherine Lemercier (a professional filmmaker), constituting one of BUIRA's most recent legacy projects, aims to share BUIRA's landmark achievements, shared anecdotes, and aspirations for the future generation of work and employment scholars, as well as promote better work in our society.

Followed by Panel Discussion: 'Whence IR and BUIRA?',

Facilitator: Professor Jean Jenkins, BUIRA President, including panelists from union, employer, educational, and historical perspectives, plus a follow up on ‘What’s the Point of IR’.
