Birth, On Your Terms - an unfiltered & honest conversation

Birth, On Your Terms - an unfiltered & honest conversation

Overview

A grounded, real and empowering space for expecting parents and couples preparing for birth.

About this event

Most antenatal spaces give you information.

But they don’t always prepare you for what birth actually feels like…
How to navigate decisions…
Or how to advocate for yourself in the moment.

Birth, On Your Terms - an honest conversation is a guided session designed to help you feel:

  • More informed
  • More confident
  • More prepared to make decisions that align with you

This is not a clinical class.
This is a real, open and supportive space where we talk honestly about birth.

Who this is for

  • Caribbean & African pregnant women
  • Caribbean & African expecting parents (any stage of pregnancy)
  • Caribbean & African couples preparing for birth together
  • Caribbean & African first-time parents and those wanting a different experience this time
  • Birth partners who want to feel confident in their role

What we’ll cover

  • What birth actually looks and feels like
  • Understanding your choices and rights in maternity care
  • Navigating pressure, consent and decision-making
  • The role of the birth partner (what to do, not just where to stand)
  • Preparing your mind, body and environment for birth
  • Space for honest questions and discussion
