Sheffield Illustrators: Christmas Market Launch Event

After lots of discussion within the group, we're delighted to announce that our first Christmas market will take place on Saturday 19 December at Sheffield Plate in Sheffield city centre. This is the last shopping Saturday before Christmas!

This September's meet-up will be all about helping illustrators decide whether the market is right for them and how to prepare successfully if they would like to apply for a stall.

We'll cover:

• Official launch of the Sheffield Illustrators Christmas Market
• Venue information and event details
• Stall applications and curation process
• What we're looking for from exhibitors
• Selling prints, cards, books, stickers and other illustration products
• Preparing artwork for print
• Display ideas and market set-up tips
• Taking payments and pricing your work
• Marketing your products and attracting customers
• Paid social media advertising planned for the market
• Questions and discussion

We'll also be running a group discussion session mixing illustrators who have sold at markets before with those who are completely new to selling in person. This will be a chance to share experiences, practical tips and lessons learned.

Whether you're an experienced market trader or have never sold your work before, you're very welcome.

Applications for stalls will open following this meet-up.
