DSVA & VAWG Oversight Group Strategic Summit

DSVA & VAWG Oversight Group Strategic Summit

Overview

Join partners from across West Sussex for a strategic summit focused on Domestic Abuse, Sexual Violence and Violence Against Women & Girls

Shaping the Future of Domestic Abuse, Sexual Violence & Violence Against Women and Girls Services in West Sussex

Join partners from across West Sussex for a strategic summit focused on the future of our collective response to Domestic Abuse, Sexual Violence and Abuse (DSVA) and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).

Against a backdrop of increasing demand, evolving national policy, changing funding landscapes and emerging partnership responsibilities, this event provides an opportunity for leaders, commissioners, practitioners and partners to come together and shape our long-term vision for West Sussex.

The summit will explore how we can strengthen collaboration across statutory, health, criminal justice and voluntary sector organisations to ensure that victims and survivors continue to receive effective, coordinated and sustainable support.

This is not a conference. It is a strategic planning and engagement session designed to encourage honest discussion about the opportunities and challenges facing our local system, and how we can collectively respond.

Together we will explore:

  • The current DSVA and VAWG landscape across West Sussex
  • Emerging needs, trends and future demand
  • Gaps in provision and areas of unmet need
  • The impact of financial pressures and changing commissioning arrangements
  • Opportunities arising from partnership working and the Duty to Collaborate
  • The role of health, criminal justice, local government and the voluntary sector
  • Prevention, early intervention and long-term sustainability
  • Our collective ambition for strengthening support for victims and survivors

What to expect

The session will include:

  • Strategic updates and context-setting presentations
  • Facilitated table discussions
  • Identification of future priorities and opportunities
  • Opportunities to network and share learning across sectors

The outputs from the summit will help inform future partnership planning, commissioning discussions and the development of a strengthened countywide approach to DSVA and VAWG.
