Creative STEM October Half Term | KITEx Discovery Day

What would your own little world look like?

Join KITEx this October half term for a creative STEM workshop where children can imagine, create and explore their own little world in a box.

Through hands-on making, challenges and play, children will explore science, engineering and creativity while discovering ideas around structures, forces, balance and design.

👧 Ages: 4-11 (Years 1-6)
⏰ Duration: 2 hours
🎟️ Price: £20 per child

What children will do

• Create and decorate their own world in a box
• Explore how structures can be made strong and stable
• Design and build a small bridge
• Test ideas using simple challenges
• Think about forces, balance, shapes and materials
• Use imagination and creativity alongside STEM thinking

The important thing is that it doesn't feel like another school lesson. Children are encouraged to experiment with ideas, make things, ask questions and discover through doing.

I'm a clinical scientist by background, and earlier this year I delivered science and engineering activities in primary schools. KITEx now brings this approach outside the classroom, creating relaxed and inclusive experiences where children can explore science through creativity and play.
