Here's your chance to make a mark on a new sculpture for Low Hall nature reserve. Try you hand at stone carving with sculptor Dan Jones.
Work with sculptor Dan Jones, using traditional stone carving tools and techniques to help carve details into the sculpture based on the wheel of the year, which reflects the seasons and natural cycle of time.
Free to take part, but pre-booking essential, sessions last one hour each.
Location: Come to the main car park (off Liverpool Road), walk past the stone circle and find us near the Totem Pole marking the crossroads of the paths
Ages 6+ can take part in this activity, but under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Equipment will be provided.
Friends of Low Hall have been awarded funding for this project as part of Made You Look, a wider public art project across the borough. The project has been developed by Wigan and Leigh’s Creative People and Places programme, Down to Earth, alongside public art specialists, Beam.
