Digital Leaders Annual Lecture in Parliament

Delivered in partnership with Informed Solutions, and welcome this year’s distinguished lecturer to Parliament.

At a defining moment for the future of artificial intelligence, we will once again bring an internationally renowned digital leader to the House of Commons—someone helping to shape how nations build sovereign AI capability, develop the skills their people need, and earn the public trust required to turn bold ambition into lasting progress.

Please join us as Malaysia’s Minister of Digital, Gobind Singh Deo, shares his vision for Malaysia’s digital future and its growing leadership across ASEAN.

His lecture will offer valuable insights for the United Kingdom and other nations navigating the opportunities and responsibilities of the AI era.

Minister Gobind will reflect on the ideas, policies and institutions driving Malaysia’s progress—including the enactment of its Cyber Security Act and Data Sharing Bill, and the establishment of the National Artificial Intelligence Office (NAIO).

Minister Gobind previously served as Malaysia’s Minister of Communications and Multimedia. His journey also has strong roots in the United Kingdom: before entering government, he began his legal career as a barrister at Lincoln’s Inn. He later returned to Malaysia and was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1996.

Following the lecture, Minister Gobind will be joined by a distinguished UK panel—including Seth Finegan, UK CEO of Informed Solutions—to explore the themes raised in his address and consider the parallels, contrasts and opportunities emerging from the UK’s own approach to AI.

The Chair will then open the debate to the audience—creating a rare opportunity to exchange ideas, challenge assumptions and help shape a digital future built on ambition, trust and lasting public value.

Join us at the House of Commons for an evening of international insight, thoughtful debate and bold ideas about the future we can create together.

The lecture will be followed by networking drinks.
