Trident Manor is proud to be an approved centre for delivering the latest SFJ Awards qualification. This five-day programme will be held from the 21st to the 25th of June 2027.The Level 3 Award in Counter-Terrorism Protective Security and Preparedness qualification was developed by SFJ Awards in partnership with the National Counter-Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO), and endorsed by Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP). The qualification will give delegates the knowledge to enhance their organisation’s protective security, risk assessment, and preparedness.ContentThe qualification will cover the following areas:

While there are no pre-entry requirements for this programme, delegates will have two weeks to complete complete pre-coursework before starting the in-person training.Delegates will be assessed in a variety of ways, including a multiple-choice examination, a written assignment in which they will complete a counter-terrorism risk assessment and preparedness plan, and a professional discussion.The five in-person training days will be held at Trident Manor's Darlington training facility, where lunch and refreshments will be provided. During the in-person training, there will be assignments on some evenings and an assessed multiple-choice test that is pass/fail. Following the in-person training, learners will then have four weeks to complete the written assessment.While the qualification cannot guarantee compliance with the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, it will give individuals and organisations a greater understanding of counter-terrorism in preparation for the new legislation, as well as a broad overview of protective security.CostThe cost of the programme is £1,400 (ex-VAT) per delegate, which includes all materials, refreshments, and lunches during the in-person element of the training.This programme will be limited to 12 delegates to ensure the quality of delivery. Further dates will be announced shortly.Trident Manor Training Academy is one of the few UK organisations approved to deliver the Level 4 Protective Security Adviser (PSA) and the Level 3 Counter-Terrorism Protective Security and Preparedness programmes. Trident Manor is the only organisation to have successfully delivered the Level 4 programme, qualified learners on the Level 4 programme, and delivered a pilot programme for the Level 3 programme. We have delivered the programme a number of times in Darlington, Manchester, Leeds, and Poole.
