NUJ London digital media branch DM prep and elections branch meeting

Our next meeting will be hybrid. We have a lot of business to do, so it would be great to get a strong turnout to ensure we have enough people not just to meet the quorum, but to be as democratic as possible.

The next delegate meeting will take place in Brighton from Friday 23 April to Sunday 25 April. As a branch with a large membership, we can have 8 delegates. We are also a tabling body, so we get to propose motions to the meeting.

So therefore, we need to:

1. Agree our delegation.
2. Agree our motions. Any member can propose a motion to the branch for consideration. There's some guidance on the NUJ site about writing motions. Branch officer, Donnacha DeLong donnacha.delong@talktalk.net , sits on the Standing Orders Committee and can also advise members. Please send any draft motions to the branch email nujlondondigitalmedia@gmail.com .

We also need to nominate interested members to the various councils, committees and other bodies of the union. If you're interested in being elected to a particular body, but can't make the meeting, please contact the branch email to let us know nujlondondigitalmedia@gmail.com .

We'll also do the usual business of electing new members to the union and hearing any workplace reports members want to raise.

Tea and coffee and some snacks will be provided for those who attend in person. Those on Zoom will have to look after themselves!
