Overview

Art psychotherapy workshop - Transition, Flow, Home: Mapping the Journey of Diaspora

Leaving a familiar homeland and settling into a new place is an ongoing journey of transition and flow. When the concept of "home" shifts from a fixed, familiar space into a fluid—and sometimes uncertain—state of body and mind, how do we find grounding and belonging within the weave of old and new?

Led by an HCPC-registered Art Psychotherapist, this workshop offers a dedicated space of exploration for the diaspora community. Integrating movement, map-making, and expressive art, it provides a safe and non-judgemental environment to gently explore the emotional landscapes and memories of migration— transforming uncertainty into fluid inner strength and redefining what "home" means to us.

No prior art experience is required, and all materials will be provided. As an experiential and experimental art workshop, participants are welcome to take their artwork home or choose to leave their mapped traces behind as part of a collective community memory.
