First Push: Skateboarding For Beginners

Skateboarding for beginners with SPACE and The Pioneer Club - Ages 7+

Strictly for children aged 7 years and above.

For children with Special Educational Needs and their siblings.

Indoor Skate Park!

Perfect for complete beginners, or beginners who’d benefit from a quieter, supportive environment to build their confidence and skills.

You’ll have one hour in the skatepark with experienced coaches, helping you get comfortable on a board, learn the basics and progress at your own pace.

No kit? No problem – boards, helmets and pads are provided, or you’re welcome to bring your own.

After skating, you can stay for an optional extra hour inside the Pioneer Club to wind down and hang out. There’ll be games and space to chill, with no pressure to join in or socialise.

Stay for the whole hour, stay for a little while, or head home after skating – whatever works for you.

Please note: Parents/Carers are required to stay on site for the duration of the session, and children/young people remain the responsibility of their parents/carers at all times.
