Accessible Information Grant: Applicant Webinar for Small Operators

Accessible Information Grant: Applicant Webinar for Small Operators

Online event
Overview

A practical walkthrough of the Accessible Information Grant for small bus operators: who can apply, how to apply and how bids are checked.

The Public Service Vehicles (Accessible Information) Regulations 2023 mean local bus and coach services must give passengers audible and visible information on board, including the route, the destination and the next stop. For smaller operators, fitting this equipment can be a big cost. The Accessible Information Grant is there to help.

This free webinar, run by RTIG, explains the grant process from start to finish, so you can apply with confidence and avoid the common mistakes that hold applications up.

What we’ll cover

  • Who can apply and what’s funded. The eligibility criteria, which vehicles and equipment qualify, and the rules your application has to meet.
  • The application forms. A section-by-section walkthrough of what we’re asking for, what supporting evidence you’ll need, and how to get it right first time.
  • How we check applications. The validation and verification checks we carry out once you submit, what we look for, and what happens if we need more information.
  • Questions and answers. Time to put your questions to the team.

Who should attend

Owners, managers and engineering or compliance staff at small bus and coach operators who are thinking about applying. Suppliers and local authority officers who support operators are also welcome.
