Protests and Suffragettes Takeover: Radical Risographs
Protests and Suffragettes explore women’s activism and local history through collage and risograph printing at the Print House
Join Protests and Suffragettes for a creative workshop exploring women’s activism, from the changemakers of Dumfries & Galloway to today’s movement against misogyny and the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.
Discover stories and words from remarkable women, including Stranraer suffragette Jane Taylour, Dr Flora Murray, who studied at The Crichton, and international speaker and suffragist Helen Fraser.
As a group, we’ll turn historical newspapers, photographs and powerful words into collages, then create our own two-colour risograph posters to take home. We’ll also use contemporary statistics on violence against women and girls to make posters that raise awareness and inspire action.
