Every year Inter Faith Week starts on Rememberance Sunday, a day chosen to to encourage people to remember together the contributions of all faiths and none, and to consider how best to create a just, peaceful, and harmonious world.
'The 2026 theme "Lighting the Way for a Shared Future” is a celebration of hope. Inspired by the symbolism of light across faiths and traditions, including the spirit of Diwali, the theme reflects a shared belief that even in challenging times, communities can come together to build understanding, trust and friendships.'
Inter Faith Week:
- Highlights the good work done by local faith, inter faith and faith-based groups and organisations
- Draws new people into inter faith learning and cooperation
- Enables greater interaction between people of different backgrounds
- Helps develop integrated and neighbourly communities
- Celebrates diversity and commonality
- Opens new possibilities for partnership

This year, coming together to shine light on a shared future is perhaps more important than ever.
A new Interfaith Forum for North Somerset will give us all chance to learn from one another and help build a society where difference is valued.
We're beginning with a day of shared ideas and relaxed conversation about the role Faith and Belief plays in our communities.
