St Cecilia's Museum Field Trip / Edinburgh Illustrator Meetup
Join us for another Field Trip, as we explore St. Cecilia’s Hall and draw together!
Meeting at the foyer of St. Cecilia’s Concert Room & Music Museum, we’ll explore their exciting historical musical instrument collection from the 16th - 20th centuries. From harpsichords, to decorative pianos; serpent horns, to spike lutes and kora bridge-harps.
We welcome illustrators from all backgrounds, styles, and experience levels to join us - regardless of if you are a member of the AOI or not, so please come along, bring something to draw with, something to draw on, and invite other illustrators along, too! The museum has asked that we only use pens and pencils - so avoid bringing messy materials with you this time.
On the field trip, we’ll be:
- Doing some fun and low-pressure drawing
- Meeting new folk
- Exploring the museum
Come along to St. Cecilia’s Concert Room & Music Museum from 12 noon to 2:30pm on Saturday the 5th December 2025, say hello, and meet fellow Edinburgh illustrators.
We’re looking forward to seeing you!

Accessibility:
The AOI would like to make events accessible to all, where possible. Please let us know your access requirements at least one week in advance by emailing info@theaoi.com
The National Museum of Scotland has a lot of accessibility considerations - for full details, please visit their notice here. They also have a listing on Euan’s Guide here.
We want our meet-ups to remain relaxed, generous and welcoming. Our Safer Meet-up Policy is here to support that - please have a read.
