Programme for the Open Day11:00 - 11:30 : Welcome to The National Museum of Computing (TNMOC)A variety of our current volunteers will be available to talk to you about what they do at the Museum and how being a TNMOC Volunteer benefits them. 11:30 - 12:30 : See the Museum in OperationYou may choose to explore the Museum in free-flow or with one of our friendly Museum Guides. Allows attendees to see volunteers in action, and what areas of the museum interest them most.12:45 - 13:00 : Registration of InterestIn the meeting room we will provide a quick overview of our current events and projects, and what specific roles we&#x27;re looking for - attendees have the chance to discuss their galleries/area of interest and become a volunteer.Who are we looking for?The National Museum of Computing seeks enthusiastic volunteers to assist in a diverse range of roles, including: Front of House Staff, Gallery Stewarding, Tour Guiding, Back of House Technical Administration/Restoration/Maintenance, Office Administration and STEM Facilitation.Although an interest in Computing and/or its history is an advantage, it is not at all essential, we warmly welcome people with other skills and interests. We treat all our volunteers as individuals and will try to find you a volunteer role and mentoring that meets your skills, preferences and time commitments. There are also opportunities to develop ideas for new hands-on activities and workshops, using our collection alongside new computers and technology.This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to include museum experience on their CV.Refreshments will be provided.
