La Embajada Argentina ante el Reino de Suecia presenta la película “Que sea ley”, de Juan Solanas, que se proyectará durante el 4º Ciclo de cine argentino “ARGENFILMSKA 2021”.En esta edición “ARGENFILMSKA” cuenta con la colaboración del Instituto Nórdico de Estudios Latinoamericanos (NILAS), el consejo estudiantil Romklass y la Unión de Estudiantes de la Universidad de Estocolmo.El film se proyectará, en idioma original español con subtítulos en inglés, el jueves 2 de diciembre, a las 18:00 hs. en la biblioteca del NILAS (Universitetsvägen 10, Hus B, Plan 5) y a las 19:25 tendrá lugar la charla virtual con el director de la película Juan Solanas, moderada por Gianfranco Selgas, Doctorando en Literatura y Cultura Latinoamericana de la Universidad de Estocolmo.“Que sea ley” - SinopsisQue sea ley nos coloca en el palpitante centro de las protestas convocadas por Marea Verde, movimiento que impulsó a miles de mujeres a salir a las calles y exigir la despenalización del aborto en Argentina. El filme registra los cánticos, noches de vigilia, batucadas y fogones que han inspirado tantas otras experiencias colectivas feministas en toda América Latina, bajo el emblemático pañuelo verde. El documental puntualiza el vínculo ineludible entre lo político y lo personal. Concentraciones masivas en espacios públicos y acalorados debates parlamentarios se intercalan con testimonios de mujeres que narran las consecuencias del aborto clandestino. El documental de Solanas nos interpela a participar activamente en un debate que trasciende fronteras, creencias y clases sociales, en un momento en el que los derechos civiles se ven amenazados en diversas latitudes del mundo.DirectorJuan Solanas (Argentina, 1966) es director, escritor y fotógrafo. En 2000, escribió, produjo y dirigió su primer película, The Headless Man, por la cual recibió el Premio del Jurado en Cannes, así como el César por Mejor Cortometraje y otros cincuenta premios a lo largo del mundo. The film records the songs, vigil nights, batucadas, and bonfires that have inspired so many other feminist collective experiences throughout Latin America, under the iconic green scarf. The documentary highlights the unavoidable link between the political and the personal. Massive gatherings in public spaces and heated parliamentary debates are blended with testimonies from women who narrate the consequences of clandestine abortion. Solanas' documentary challenges us to actively participate in a debate that transcends borders, beliefs and social classes, at a time when civil rights are threatened in various parts of the world.DirectorJuan Solanas (Argentina, 1966) is a director, writer and photographer. In 2000, he wrote, produced and directed his first film, The Headless Man, for which he received the Jury Prize at Cannes, as well as the César for Best Short Film and fifty other awards throughout the world. He is currently producing the feature documentary by Christophe Réveille, Les survivants du Che.
