Community Open Day on St Ann's Community Orchard

St Ann’s Allotments are the oldest and largest area of Victorian detached town gardens in the world, and are Grade 2* Listed by English Heritage. The site covers 75 acres, has 700 gardens, over 30 miles of hedgerow and 2000 fruit trees, many of which are heritage varieties.STAA deliver outreach programmes to allow all members of the community to benefit from the site, including children’s activities on the Community Orchard, and volunteering opportunities on Urban Nature, Nursery, and Heritage Display gardens.

<p>Families in St Ann's are invited to our Community Orchard for free seasonal activities outdoors. This month we'll be making wreaths, decorations, and offering hot spicy chai.</p><p>Booking is essential to help us manage numbers.</p><p>See you soon.</p>

<h3>Details</h3><ul><li>For local families in St Ann's.</li><li>Parents, carers and siblings welcome to come along too.</li><li>Please wear suitable clothing for being outdoors.</li><li>Book one ticket for each person attending, including adults and children.</li><li>Compost toilet available with hand sanitiser for hand washing.</li><li>If you have any questions, please text Richard on 07447 561887.</li></ul>

<h3>How to find us</h3><p>St Ann's Community Orchard is on St Ann's Allotments. The entrance is on Ransom Road, opposite Hillview Community Centre. Look out for the yellow signs!</p><p>If you can, please walk, cycle, or use public transport to be kind to the environment.
