Duration: 4 Weeks Dates: (Tuesdays) 18.01.22, 25.01.22, 01.02.22, 08.02.22 Time: 10:00am - 12:00pmLocation: Wonderland CIC, Canal Street, St Helens WA10 3JQOur Photography Basics Course is designed as a starting point for beginners trying creative photography for the first time; we’ll be using iPad tablets to explore different photography techniques, guided by expert tutors in small class sizes. The Photography Basics - Explore IT 4 Week Course is part of Try IT - Digital Arts St Helens, our project funded by Coalfields Regeneration Trust, which aims to help people address some of the difficulties that we’ve faced over the past couple of years. The Covid pandemic and lockdowns have been difficult for everyone, they have impacted mental health, with many people becoming isolated, and lonely. Signing up to these courses offers the opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills, both of which are a great way to improve your wellbeing.Who is this course for (eligibility criteria)? To take part you:<ul><li>Must be Aged 18+ </li><li>Must be from St Helens</li></ul>What to expect from this course:Do you live in St Helens and are interested in creative, digital photography but don’t know where to start? These sessions are perfect for anyone who has limited experience in photography but is keen to know more. If you want to learn new, creative, photography skills in a social atmosphere then this is the course for you. For this Photography Basics course we’ll be using iPad tablets; this is so we all have the same camera technology, with the same features and also ensures easy photo sharing with your tutors during the workshops. Topics you’ll learn about:<ul><li>Fundamental digital photography processes (learn about focus/ focal points, image composition, how lighting affects photos and more)</li><li>Learn the features in the iPad camera app</li><li>Capture digital photos within a theme, with guidance from your tutors</li></ul>What are the entry requirements? You will need a basic working knowledge of touchscreen devices (smartphones or tablets). All technology and equipment will be provided for the sessions by our delivery partners Mako Create, so you just need to turn up. Please feel free to bring a pen and notepad with you to take notes.Are there any costs involved?Due to all the places being fully funded by Coalfields Regeneration Trust, the Explore IT - Photo Editing Basics Course is completely free of charge.How do I sign up?You can do it online here, or call us on 0151 345 1419 and we&#x27;ll get you signed up
