Dipping your toe for the first time in the fresh, cool, outdoor waters of the UK can seem daunting to some. It’s a plunge that’s always worth taking though. Join Suzie and Suzanna as they discuss their own wild swimming stories. How and why they started, what they do now, how you can join the fun and most importantly which is the best post swim snack, Pie or Cake?Suzanna Cruickshank is an award winning author and wild swim guide based in the Lake District, UK. Suzanna started outdoor swimming as an aside to hill walking after falling in love with Cumbria on her first visit. She hasn’t looked back since. Her swim guiding business, Suzanna Swims, specialises in sociable, leisurely swims and swim-hikes where stopping to look at the view and a nice cup of tea afterwards are the order of the day. Her first book Swimming Wild in the Lake District won Outdoor Book of the Year in the TGO magazine awards 2020. She’s also a fan of a good pie post swim.Suzie is an outdoor swim coach and guide based in the Peak District, UK. Suzie started wild swimming to help her deal with life with a young family. Her passion for the water led her to completely change career from a suited and booted corporate to neoprene clad outdoor adventure pusher. A change she’s never regretted. Suzie’s business Peak Swims supports swimmers to access the water in the way that’s right for them. Suzie’s partial to a spot of flapjack post swim but can also be swayed by a good sausage roll. <a href="https://www.cotic.co.uk" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a>------------------------------------------ As with all the ShAFF Online talks, there’s no cost to register and enter but we’ll ask you to make a donation.
