Duration: 4 Weeks Dates: (Thursday) 20.01.22, 27.01.22, 03.02.22, 10.02.22 Time: 10:00am - 12:00pmLocation: Wonderland CIC, Canal Street, St Helens WA10 3JQThe Explore IT - Graphic Design Basics course is part of Try IT - Digital Arts St Helens project, which is funded by the Coalfields Regeneration Trust. The COVID-19 pandemic has been difficult for everyone; it has impacted many people&#x27;s mental health and has led to increased isolation and loneliness within communities.This course offers the opportunity to learn new skills and to socialise with like-minded people from your local area ﻿in a supportive environment. In these trying times coming together is a great way of improving our collective wellbeing.Who is this course for (eligibility criteria)? To take part you:<ul><li>Must be Aged 18+ </li><li>Must be from St Helens</li></ul>What to expect from this course:Do you live in St Helens and are interested in creative, graphic design but don’t know where to start? These sessions are perfect for anyone who has limited experience in graphic design but is keen to know more. If you want to get creative, try design and learn new skills in a supportive, social atmosphere then this is the course for you. Topics you’ll learn about:<ul><li>Fundamental graphic design processes</li><li>File formats and sizes </li><li>Different graphic design software that&#x27;s available </li><li>Creating digital graphics such as Logos, Posters and Images for social media, with guidance from your tutors.</li></ul>What are the entry requirements? You will need a basic working knowledge of computers; for example can you download a file from the internet and rename it on your computer? Participants will (with guidance if needed) set up online accounts (e.g. Google, graphic design software accounts, Adobe). All technology and equipment will be provided for the sessions by our delivery partners Mako Create, so you just need to turn up. Please feel free to bring a pen and notepad with you to take notes.Are there any costs involved?Due to all the places being fully funded by Coalfields Regeneration Trust, the Explore IT - Graphic Design Basics Course is completely free of charge.How do I sign up?You can do it online here, or call us on 0151 345 1419 and we&#x27;ll get you signed up
