Our Creative Connection are proud to present the results of two Photovoice projects involving young people and adults in Huddersfield

<h3>Photography allows people to tell their own story in a way where we can see the world through their eyes. It doesn’t just ‘tell’ about its subject but also ‘shows’ it.</h3><h3>Between September &amp; December 2021 students from <a href="https://www.employabilitysolutions.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Employability Solutions</a> took part in Photo voice workshops delivered by <a href="https://www.ourcreativeconnection.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Our Creative Connection</a> to create photographs, share stories and voice their opinions.</h3><h3>Alongside this we also delivered a Photo voice with members of the <a href="https://yorkshirechildrenscentre.org.uk/our-services/support-for-families/hopeful-families/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Hopeful Families</a> project inviting people to share their experiences and stories together through photography.</h3><h3>This exhibition brings together these two photo voice projects into one showcase.</h3><h3>The images created invite us to see the world from another point of view, challenge our assumptions, question things that what we might take for granted, and to find the extraordinary in the everyday.  </h3><h3>Photo voice is an organic, creative process during which careful attention is given to peoples’ stories, and they are fully in control of how their stories are presented, retold and shared. </h3><h3>We are hugely grateful to all the staff and students at Employability Solutions for the opportunity to work together and also to the staff and participants at the Hopeful Families project - it has been a real privilege to share stories and create together! </h3><h3>Thanks also to our hosts at Kirklees Council for use of the Temporary Contemporary space.</h3><h3>We look forward to seeing you there!</h3><h3>For more information please contact hello@ourcreativeconnection.org </h3><h3>Find our more about Photovoice and our other projects by visiting <a href="https://www.ourcreativeconnection.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.ourcreativeconnection.org</a></h3><h3></h3>
