Glass-House Chats: Making the case for investment in inclusive design

The Glass-House Community Led Design is a national charity dedicated to connecting people with the design of their places, and connecting design with people. For over two decades, we have supported communities, organisations and networks to work collaboratively to shape buildings, spaces, homes and neighbourhoods.The Glass-House sees design not only as a tool for creating great places, but also as a way to connect people and empower them with enhanced confidence, skills and a greater sense of agency. We provide hands-on support and training, share knowledge and learning, and inspire new thinking and debate through action research, events and resources.

The Glass-House Community Led Design

Glass-House Chats are one-hour themed sessions for an informal chat about engaging communities in design and placemaking.

Some people and organisations are more willing than others to invest in design engagement that brings together diverse stakeholders and user groups to shape the vision, brief and design of our shared spaces. How can we best convince those in positions of power to dedicate the time and budgets required to develop meaningful design engagement strategies and programmes? At this Chat, we will be exploring how we can best champion inclusive design processes, and the tools that will help us make persuasive arguments for investment in meaningful design engagement.  <aside>Please be aware that when signing up;</aside><aside>There are limited spaces for each event, with a maximum of 10 attendee spaces.</aside><aside>No shows without notification will be excluded from future sessions, please let us know with 48 hours notice if you're no longer able to attend the event.</aside><aside>We may document the event by recording the session and taking screenshots.
