How to be an Ally

The BACK LOUNGE in association with TOUR PRODUCTION GROUP is offering 3 free online workshops this spring to expand the discussion around how we can tour better. Supported by the Arts Council Culture Recovery Fund, people in every kind of touring skillset are invited to attend.

Wellness & Diversity Specialist Joanne Croxford

Production and tour director Keely Myers of Global Touring Office and wellness and diversity specialist Joanne Croxford – both founders of TPG Diversity and Inclusion Group - will explore how the touring industry is waking up to the benefits of a diverse workforce, and look at the ways we can create a safe working environment for minorities. This helpful presentation will ensure that your ally ship is well-intentioned and supportive.OUR GUESTS:Natasha Hendry (she/her) - Music Psychologist - who is actively working in the social justice space of music with her groundbreaking research around the black experience in music education. Natasha is a music professional who has her own lived experience being the only black woman on a tour bus and beyond. @the_music_psychologistGideon Feldman (he/him) - Head of Programmes with Attitude is Everything/Live Events Consultant - Gideon&#x27;s taken learning from his early career as a tour and production manager, combined with his learning of the built environment and access to and for events and pushed this leaning into new areas with the aspiration to assist all events be as accessible as they can be to customers, artists and the staff teams that make them happen http://www.attitudeiseverything.org.uk/Antonia Lines (they/she) - an LGBTQ+ Inclusion specialist and project manager based in North London working across both the music and sport sectors.
