Learn to plant new woodland trees and to care for young trees recently planted

Southwick Leisure Centre

An opportunity to get involved in planting new woodland trees (E.g. Rowan, Birch and Cherry) as well as to weed and support young trees already planted , at Southwick Recreation Ground (10am). There is a further event at Adur Recreation Ground (12pm) There are10 spaces at each event location but contact us if the event is sold out for any cancellations.This is a FREE event that occur on every 3rd Saturday of each month in 2022, but we are asking for a donation to TreeAction UK CIC which supports tree planting projects for local schools. You can donate via the website - www.treeactionuk.org/donate The events are a great opportunity to get your family out in and support nature locally , learning how to care for young trees and plant your own. PLEASE NOTE : Tree planting may only take place from November to March, on other months we will be tending, weeding, mulching and watering young trees already planted depending on conditions. We may also have guidance and support from an arborist from Adur &amp; Worthing Council. Tools are provided but you are welcome to bring your own.
