ExploreStation invites you to join our national conversation about the future of railway station design in Great Britain

Shell Store Incubation Centre

ExploreStation is a programme of online and face-to-face activities being organised by Design Council, The Glass-House Community Led Design, Digital Urban and Commonplace, to help engage the public in shaping the final stages of a new station design standard being developed by 7N Architects for Network Rail. This design responds to ThinkStation, a previous engagement programme created to inform a brief for a new approach to station design for small and medium-sized stations across the country. Join us in Hereford for an immersive experience, in which you use virtual reality (VR) glasses to journey through Network Rail&#x27;s the proposed station design. Experience the sounds and sensations of arriving at the station, watch it build around you and then move through it, as well as viewing the exhibition giving more information on ExploreStation. You will then have an opportunity to tell Network Rail what you think of the new design and what you would like to see in the new station as well.You can book now for a slot at specific times. Each slot will accommodate a maximum of four people and you are welcome to book up to four tickets, should that number still be available to book during the time of your choosing. The VR experience itself will last 4-5 minutes and you are then free to view the exhibition and give your feedback. Walk-in slots are also available on the hour but we strongly recommend booking in advance.Please note that the experience is designed to accommodate one space per slot for wheelchair and mobility aid users. If you plan to attend with fellow wheelchair and mobility aid users, we kindly ask that you each book separate slots.This is a free event, but places are limited so we recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. In line with Covid protocol, all touch points will be cleaned between visits.
