Shaper/Caper is a charity all about dancing, prancing, and romancing....well, maybe not the romancing bit, but we hope to make you fall in love with dance. We present the work of multi award-winning choreographer, Thomas Small.  Thomas is the first ever BBC Radio 2 Artist in Residence in association with The Space! Whoop! He is also a fellow on the coveted Clore Leadership Programme, is former Choreographer in Residence at The Space in Dundee. Thomas’ critically acclaimed work has been presented all over the shop, from two visits to New York all the way to Sao Paulo in Brazil.  We also do some rather nifty creative learning projects including A Day to Play, performance workshops for people of all ages and our super duper project, Well Good, delivered in partnership with NHS Tayside.

We recognise the need for sober spaces for the LGBTQ+ community to come together, so we&#x27;re so excited to introduce our community disco - Discotheque! It&#x27;s just like a roller disco without the skates! You&#x27;ll get the chance to learn some new dancefloor-worthy moves from Shaper/Caper&#x27;s Dance Artists too.********************Welcome to the stage, OutFest!Shaper/Caper and Dundee Pride present a pure massive celebration for LGBTQ+ History Month! This February will be chockablock with creative events, workshops and discussions that explore what it&#x27;s like to be a queer person in Dundee right now.We’re collaborating with some absolutely fabulous local partners to brighten up your February, including V&amp;A Dundee, DCA, DJCAD and many many more! From pop-up performances to vogue workshops, employability talks for the creative industries to our Battle of the Icons TikTok challenge, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.We’ll also be kick-starting our brand new community disco, Discotheque (just like a roller disco without those pesky skates!) and launching the new-look version of our magazine show The In/Out Crowd featuring some wonderful guests!Fancy getting involved?
