Wellness Walk in the New Forest
Join other young people on a Guided walk in the New Forest lead by Youth Leaders from the New Forest National Park.
This is a free event for young people aged 11-25 years old living with a long-term health condition living in Hampshire, Dorset and surrounding areas and their families.
Young people aged 11-25 yrs will be taken on a guided walk, led by youth leaders, whilst younger children and family members can have time to chat and enjoy the outdoors together.
The walk will last approximately 1.5 hour, although will not be constant walking. The route is pathed, but not suitable for powered wheelchairs.
There is a huge field where families can picnic and play games afterwards if they wish. There are public toilets on site.
Siblings are welcome to join the walk if over 11yrs old. Spaces are limited to ensure all young people are supported.
Away from the walk, we will also have a Family Therapist from the Hospital attending to support any families who would like to have a space to chat, as well as The Rainbow trust Supporting young siblings with some activities.
Please let us know if younger families members will be attending by purchasing an under 11 yr old ticket. All under 11 yr olds must have a parent/guardian with them.
