The 57°10 Architecture Society - a name abstracted from our geographic location - is the largest and oldest society at Robert Gordon University. The society caters for an average of 100 members every year and is celebrating its 34th anniversary during the 2022/23 academic year. Open to all audiences, the society is a unique student driven collective from The Scott Sutherland School of Architecture & Built Environment; the most northerly architecture school in Scotland and the third oldest in the UK.

<h2>Robin Livingstone | Fraser/Livingstone </h2><p>Born and raised in Dunfermline, Robin studied architecture at Edinburgh College of Art, graduating in 2003. Since then he has combined working in practice with teaching architecture, covering a number of academic roles, including those of design tutor and guest critic. Robin established Fraser/Livingstone Architects in January 2019, reuniting with Malcolm following a decade working together previously as Malcolm Fraser Architects. Robin has 20 years of practice-based experience, designing and delivering a diverse range of award-winning projects of varying scales and typologies, from new build housing to the reuse and restoration of buildings for the public and arts sectors. </p><p>Robin currently teaches at the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, the university of Edinburgh and at the Grenfell-Baines Institute of Architecture, the University of Central Lancashire. </p><p><em> </em><a href="https://williamguthrie.co.uk/INFORMATION" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a><a href="https://www.hok.com/people/leadership/view/gary-clark/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a></p>

Due to Covid-19 restrictions on event capacity, please reserve your seat through Eventbrite to attend  in person. Post-lecture refreshment capacity is also limited in line with RGU policy - thank you for your cooperation with the team as we manage attendance numbers to keep the lecture series running safely on campus! 
If an event is fully booked, please join the waitlist so we can notify you if a seat becomes available. Lectures will be streamed live wherever possible to allow those who cannot attend in person to access the lecture. <p></p>

To get to the lecture theatre, enter the Sir Ian Wood Building and walk straight ahead until reaching a large atrium and staircase. Go downstairs and the lecture theatre is straight ahead at the base of the large drum. (This is marked as a blue dot in the Sir Ian Wood Building on the campus map below.) Lift access is available near the main reception and the atrium. If you are unsure, please contact us in advance or check with reception who will direct you.
