A new ACE  programme feature, providing an informal & supportive environment exclusively for CEO to gather and explore issues of the day.

Our CEO Challenge series aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for CEOs to discuss various challenges they are facing, outside of the public domain. In this session we will invite ACE members to explore the changing profile of employee expectations in public bodies. Rapidly rising up the chief executive agenda, the public body talent pipeline appears to be under considerable pressure. In recent ACE member conversations, recruitment, reward and retention of public body talent appear to be particularly problematic at this time. The pandemic and challenging economic environment would appear to be making a significant impact for public bodies as employers in other sectors. Anecdotally at least, employee expectations appear to be shifting rapidly, in terms of career progression and economic reward. For some leaders of public bodies, there appear to be fresh challenges, driven by tensions between personal and corporate values. In this session we will look into the issues and invite members to share insights and practical learning to enable leaders to nurture and strengthen the public body talent pipeline.
