The 57°10 Architecture Society - a name abstracted from our geographic location - is the largest and oldest society at Robert Gordon University. The society caters for an average of 100 members every year and is celebrating its 34th anniversary during the 2022/23 academic year. Open to all audiences, the society is a unique student driven collective from The Scott Sutherland School of Architecture & Built Environment; the most northerly architecture school in Scotland and the third oldest in the UK.

<h2>Hugh Strange | Hugh Strange Architects</h2><p> Hugh Strange Architects were established in 2011 and are based in london. They have developed a reputation for producing practical and cost effective buildings that marry an attention to material and structure with precise, contextually considerate responses to sensitive urban and rural sites. í</p><p>The Strange House, South-East London was the practice's first completed new-build project and won a RIBA Award (2011), AIA UK Award (2011) and the Wood Award (2011) for Best Small Project. </p><p>The practice has worked on numerous projects in rural environments, particularly nature reserves and this has included a collaboration with Alvaro Siza; which was nominated for the 2015 Mies van der Rohe award. </p><p>Please note, this week's lecture is online only. <a href="https://williamguthrie.co.uk/INFORMATION" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a><a href="https://www.hok.com/people/leadership/view/gary-clark/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a></p>
