Discover the ink-free process of 'blind printing' on this short workshop with printmaker Kristina Chan, part of London Craft Week 2022.

Please check this page again as places may become available, or register on our <a href="https://www.cityandguildsartschool.ac.uk/printmaking-workshop-waiting-list/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">waiting list.</a></h2>Discover the historic Intaglio print process without getting inky fingers!This one-hour, hands-on workshop with printmaker Kristina Chan, will introduce you to traditional printmaking without using ink. Known as 'blind printing', the process results in a fine debossed image imprinted on the paper.During the workshop, which takes place in the Art School's renowned <a href="https://www.cityandguildsartschool.ac.uk/print-room-2/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Print Room</a>, you will have a go at pressing your artwork onto paper using our traditional printing press, a beautiful souvenir of the event!To cover our running costs, we are charging a small fee of £5 (+Eventbrite booking fees) to attend the workshop. Advanced booking is essential.The workshop is for adults only (18+).Places are limited so book now to avoid disappointment!Precautions regarding the spread of Covid-19, including the use of face coverings, will be assessed at the time and will take account of official guidance then in place. <h3>LONDON CRAFT WEEK 2022</h3>The printmaking workshop is part of the Art School's event for London Craft Week 2022, which takes place on Friday 13 May (10:00-17:00) and Saturday 14 May (10:00-18:00) in our historic building in Kennington.Other activities during the two-day event include demos of paper-making and paper conservation techniques, Carving open studios, wood and stone carving competition and an opportunity to have a go at stone carving.On Saturday 14 May (afternoon only), you’re invited to join a free Talk and Tasting with Fabal Lager in our Courtyard and refreshments will be available in our café throughout the event.All these events are free with no need to book.<a href="https://www.cityandguildsartschool.ac.uk/london-craft-week/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Find out more here &gt;</a>
