As a freelancer we come across a wide variety of different opportunities. From the one-off couple of hours work right through to long term, multi-site multi-year projects and programmesThis GEM Tea Talk aims to highlight the different opportunities we may encounter and the advantages and disadvantages of these. It will help us think about what we should be considering when tendering or accepting an opportunity, and when we should look at working in partnership with other freelancers and organisations.It will also look at times when a freelance opportunity isn’t really freelance at all or is of poor value - how we can identify these in the briefs, how we must be aware of IR35 and consequences of it, and how we can support commissioners by providing constructive feedback.The Tea Talk will start with a short presentation by Paddy McNulty, followed by a facilitated discussion where we will all have the opportunity to share experiences, ask questions, offer advice, and support each other.We look forward to seeing you there.
