Positive Psychology and Meditation

Our positive psychology events will help you to learn more about happiness, strengths, hope and resilience.  Our mindfulness meditation will help you to learn about awareness and awareness. Learn how to live with a more positive, peaceful state of mind.

Are you looking after yourself as much as you could do? Self care is essential to a flourishing life. We need to replenish, recharge and restore our bodies so that we can meet the demands of modern life, keep our immune systems healthy and build resilience. This 8 week course will support you in your own project of self care. Together we will explore current research on the subjects of sleep, water, exercise, food and relaxation. I will bring my knowledge of positive psychology to these subjects to help you create healthy habits for life, which will improve your health and wellbeing. Self-talk ; treat yourself well. Thursday 24th February- Why sleep matters; ways to improve your sleepThursday 3rd March - Water -The Elixir of life; hydration and how to drink more waterThursday 10th March - Exercise – Embodiment; ways to make exercise part of your lifeThursday 17th March –Simple hacks that demystify healthy eatingThursday 24th March - Mindful Eating and Intuitive EatingWednesday 30th March - Rest and relaxation for wellbeingWednesday 6th April - Ways to relax and support your self-care&#x27;I learned the importance of having activities that are relaxing and help with genuine rest, to be more mindful about my eating, to take my time and savour the food, that having adequate sleep is important but also the quality of the sleep. Overall, I was made more aware and conscious of my need to take care of me. If we don&#x27;t look to our own needs we are no good at helping anyone else.&#x27;
