Fabrica is a space where everyone can experience art. Through immersive exhibitions and commissions, we introduce visitors to the work of celebrated international and at the same time, we support and commission emerging artists, giving them the financial and creative support to make engaging and thought provoking work. This way, art is always here to surprise, challenge and inspire our communities.Cultural experiences at Fabrica are often immersive, shaped around our Grade II listed building. No prior knowledge of art is needed to step inside, and to engage, enjoy and respond. At Fabrica, our audiences can experience art in other unexpected ways:  through our ever-changing calendar of film screenings, talks, group discussions and community led events. And through a holistic programme of workshops where they might create sculptures, prints, drawings, textiles that supports learning and increases wellbeing. A relaxed afternoon for children age 5-8yrs to explore and develop their own creativity at Fabrica, a contemporary art gallery for everyone.

Don't worry about printing your confirmation email - we'll take your name on arrival.

A relaxed morning for children age 5-8yrs and their adult/s to explore and develop their own creativity at Fabrica. For half term we shall make large scale self-portraits of who you’d like to see yourself become in the future. We will use a mixture of collage and drawing to explore our wants and dreams for the road ahead - Who will you be? A world-famous scientist, an artist, an eco-warrior or maybe a tech genius!? Anything is possible in this fun and creative session.Children can each achieve a Discover Award, which will be posted to them following the event, ready to hang on the wall! Parents and carers are asked to stay on-site with their children for the event but do not need to book a ticket for themselves. Unfortunately we cannot have non-participating family members on site. Social distancing will be required and adults are invited to wear masks inside if they are able to.Materials, Arts Award moderation &amp; certification included. Fruit and water provided. <ul><li>We recommend booking in advance for this event as places are limited. Bookings can also be made in person during gallery opening hours by speaking to a member of the gallery team or at Fabrica during office hours (no booking fee applies). Once paid for, tickets are non-refundable. Online bookings will close 1 hour before the event starts - unless ‘Sold Out’ there is likely to still be tickets available on the door.</li><li>Fabrica is a registered charity and donations are always welcome: add a donation ticket on top of your existing ticket(s) or sign up to make a regular donation here.</li><li>COVID-19 RELATED PROCEDURES This event will run in line with local &amp; national government guidelines. We encourage adults to wear face masks on site if they are able. We are maintaining social distancing where possible. We are adhering to the track and trace system and are collecting this information on arrival.
