This session is for artists who wish to make connections and strengthen dialogue with their local Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent audience

<em>These workshops are charged on a sliding scale to make them accessible to people with different levels of financial means. Our recommended donations based on income levels are below.</em>
<em>£0-10,000: £0</em>
<em>£10,000 - £12,500: £2.50</em>
<em>£12,500 - £15,000: £5</em>
<em>£15,000 - £17,500: £7.50</em>
<em>£17,500 - £20,000: £10</em>
<em>£20,000+ :  £10+</em>
<em>50% of tickets for this event are reserved for Visual Artists in Bristol, Bath &amp; North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. This is because the programme is funded by West Of England Visual Arts Alliance (WEVAA).</em><h1>This session is designed to support artists in making connections and strengthening dialogue with their local Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent audiences.</h1><h3>We will look at access resources to support the visuals, text and content of your pieces. We will also look at marketing, outreach and engagement strategies, including understanding the Social Model of Disability and preferred language.</h3>
Photo credit Doug Southall<p><strong>About Alex</strong></p><p>A passionate advocate and ally of disabled and neurodivergent artists, Alex is skilled in developing bespoke inclusive and accessible practice for outdoor arts, theatre and events. Alex works part time at FESTIVAL.ORG as the Access Producer for events including Greenwich+Docklands International Festival and as lead Access Advisor for the Without Walls Network. She is also part time at Shakespeare’s Globe as co-Access Manager. Recently, she has offered accessibility consultancy for Greenwich Dance’s new ArtsUnboxed project and for B-Side Festival on the Isle of Portland.</p><p>Alex has worked in the disability arts sector for over 10 years, predominantly at Access All Areas Theatre, one of the UK’s leading learning-disabled theatre companies. She has also worked with Graeae, Diverse City and in SEN Schools.</p>
